However, no matter what happened that day, it was predestined to be one of the most important days of my life. The certificate is a landmark of the seven-year-long relationship between H and I, a happy ending of one stage, and a new start of the next. If we were in a fairy tale, this legal procedure would be described like this– “the prince and the princess is get married, and live happily ever after. the end.” However, in real life, get a marriage certificate is only the first step of a new stage of one’s life, there might be a wedding next, and then children problem, and a lot of things follows.
I know clearlly that after this there is no turning back, so does she. The certificate is not only a legal guarantee, it is also a promise. It means responsibility, loyalty, self-sacrifice, and etc.. I’m not sure whether I’m ready to accept all the rights and duties of marriage or not, but life never waits for our preparation, thus it always brings surprise to us. We can only study gradually as life continues, this probably is the most significant difference from at school, where you always have plenty of time to prepare for an examination.
I’m afraid that I’m only a little too nervous as well as excited, and don’t know what to say. Anyway, congratulations to myself!
